The touch screen features make this camera body incredibly convenient. As well as it’s build in wi fi capability. As far as weight it is a heavier body than the 60D which is a crop sensor frame. This again is a convenient camera, especially considering that Apple has not yet updated their software to support RAW files from the Mark IV. The fact that you can print RAW files at 16×20 without any pixel distortion is amazing. I can use my iPhone to shoot photos, change any settings and preview photos from inside my toasty warm vehicle in the dead of winter catching the Northern Lights. The speed at which it can take a photo when you tap the screen is impressive- although it is even faster when not in screen view mode. I love all of the new point options for focus targets. All the photos are with the Canon EF 11-24mm lens with no lens filters and MOBILE quality as the only downfall is I can not yet open any RAW files on my desktop until there’s been updates to support them.

I purchased this camera to upgrade from a Canon 5d Mark II, and I couldn’t be happier with picking this camera. Going from the mkii to the mkiv there was a little bit of a learning curve, but the quality upgrade is stunning. I shot a wedding soon after receiving it, and its low light capabilities blew me away. I also really appreciate the touch screen and multitude of focusing points. If you’re looking to upgrade your camera, this would be the one!

I have been shooting professionally for about four years with a Canon Rebel T6i, which is still my boo– BUT there is absolutely nothing like the Mark IV. I’m obviously still learning but can see a high difference in the final product. This camera is a bit heavier but you adjust quickly to the weight and honestly it does everything my T6i could do but better.

I upgraded from a Canon 4000D (T100) crop camera to this incredible 5D full frame camera and consider it one of the best purchases I’ve ever made, considering the cost.
PROs:
1. Value for the money.
2. Canon’s high quality standards make this “the” camera among many other choices.
3. Ergonomics – feels great in the hand, easy to reach buttons and dials when needed.
4. Easy to use menu system, which provides many powerful features.
5. Large touch screen makes it super easy to target subjects, change ISO/Shutter Speed/Aperture settings on the fly.
6. Takes both compact flash and SSD cards.
7. Long battery life (even more with the BG-E20 battery grip accessory).
8. Takes an AC power supply option.
9. Huge assortment of prime and telephoto zoom EF lenses to choose from.
10. Very large operator’s manual, and definitely worth reading it.
CONs:
1. No built-in flash.
2. Heavy – even heavier with the BG-E20 battery grip (as great an accessory that it is).
3. Hard to reach/adjust viewfinder diopter.

I would give this camera 6 stars if I could!!! This camera is hands down one of the best purchases I have ever made. I decided it was time to upgrade from my previous camera and I couldn’t be more happy with my choice! There isn’t a single bad thing I have to say about the 5d mark IV. I also purchased a 24-70mm 2.4f lens and I think the two make a perfect pair for all different types of photography. I would highly recommend this camera to anyone looking to upgrade and improve their photography skills and horizon.

I knew going in that I was investing in a flagship Canon, and after the success of the 5D Mark iii, how could one go wrong here. Even still, I am floored by how clear and detailed my shots of my son came out in a room with no light execpt for the computer screen my son was playing keyboard on. The clarity and detail, and noise handling of this camera,,,I was blown away. No turning back from full-frame for me,,,and I look forward to growing into this camera over the next few years. You CAN NOT go wrong with this body. I paired it with the 50mm 1.8 ii (updated nifty fifty) and the results are beyond impressive. I’ll add shots of some pics I took in Union Square with this combo.

The day I got the camera was a early morning so that I could take it to Mt Hood. Right away I loved how fast it performed and tack sharp it was. I’ve been rolling with the canon 70d for the longest time as a amateur but later turned it from a hobby to a proffession. I watched a lot of reviews and would visit Best Buy to see which camera I would love. I checked out the Sony A7R iii and saw how many Canon users switched to Sony. But really didn’t want to be apart of that group with there expensive lens, plus not spend a lot to change and sell my other Canon lenses like Amy other user would. And it was to small for my not so big hands and to light, which is a good thing for others but I wanted something I could have a good grip and a good weight. And I knew if I was to ever drop the Sony I wouldn’t be happy. But I’m happy with the Canon 5d marl iv. And soon to be taking more beautiful photographs. The picture I posted isn’t the full resolution one because I can only post a 5 mb image

So I started off by buying a Canon 80D. Amazing camera but I just wasn’t satisfied with a crop sensor. I just had this insane urge to move to a full frame. So I decided let’s by a 5D mark iii. Loved the full frame and amazing build quality. Being that it’s a 4 year old camera it was missing things from the 80D that I grown to love. That was wifi and the auto focus seemed to feel more accurate. I made the executive decision and shelled out another $1000 for the 5D mark IV. With this camera I had the best of both worlds. Amazing picture quality, camera build and felt confident that this will last me a long time and be able to keep up with all my risky adventures. If you can afford to get it and the upgraded features such as wifi and touch screen I say go for it. If those don’t work for you I suggest the 5D mark iii as it’s about $1000 less.
